Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Paper Billing (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. The Service
Paper Billing is a multi-tenant application for organizations to manage product form templates, inventory/products, suppliers and customers, shareable intake links, sales invoices, and related records. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Accounts and organizations
- You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and memberships.
- Organization owners/admins control membership, settings, templates, and share links for their workspace.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to collect personal data without a lawful basis.
- Upload malware, scrape the Service abusively, or attempt to access another organization’s data.
- Misrepresent identity information or use the Service to commit fraud.
- Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service.
4. Personal data and organization responsibilities
When your organization collects supplier, buyer, or government ID information through the Service (including public share links), your organization determines the purpose of that collection and is responsible for complying with applicable law (including the DPDP Act) as the Data Fiduciary for that processing. You agree that:
- You will only collect personal data that is needed for your stated business purpose.
- You will ensure individuals receive appropriate notice and consent where required.
- You will not instruct us to process personal data for unlawful purposes.
- We process that organization data to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Your content
You retain rights to content and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, store, back up, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit that content.
6. Government ID documents
If you collect government ID numbers or images (including Aadhaar-related information), you are responsible for doing so lawfully, for a specific purpose, with appropriate consent, and for not retaining them longer than needed. We provide storage as part of the Service; we are not your legal counsel and do not guarantee regulatory approval for any particular ID workflow.
7. Intellectual property
The Service software, branding, and design are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.
8. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, or third-party infrastructure issues may occur.
9. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Invoice layouts and identity fields are tools for your operations; they are not legal, tax, or compliance advice.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD (OR INR 0 IF THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE).
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk to the Service or others, or as required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you disagree, stop using the Service.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the contact channel published for your Paper Billing deployment.
